I was hesitant to upload this piece for the world to see—especially my peers and potential employers. But this is my story. This is my past. The pages in this zine offer a glimpse into the life I lived and the one I made it out of. I’m not interested in hiding who I was; I want to show what can be overcome. At 23, I thought I was destined to die a junkie. Today, I know I’m meant for so much more.
